About Barking Squirrel Farms

The Barking Squirrel story began in 2017 when we planted our first hop cultivars. The growing interest from the local craft brewery industry energized us to expand in 2020 to more than 900 plants of seven varieties.  Inspired by all things fresh and green, our gardens have also grown in size to offer our local community fresh, in-season produce, farm raised eggs, and delicious homemade treats, breads, jams, soup mixes, and seasoning blends. 

At Barking Squirrel Farms, our mission is to provide our customers with the highest quality hops that we can grow. Our hop varieties include Cascade, Cashmere, Comet, Crystal, Galena, Triumph, and Zeus. They can be delivered as either fresh, wet hops or in dried and pelletized form, marketed in late August and early September of each year. 

Nothing beats a vine-ripened tomato that we grew ourselves and we love to share our fresh produce with unique ideas on how to prepare them.  From springtime greens to winter squash and everything in between, we bring our bounty to local markets during the growing season.
